What the heck is an escape room?

Escape rooms are a new form of interactive brain teasing based entertainment rapidly gaining popularity around the world. Trapped in a themed room, your team must work together to find clues, crack codes and solve mind puzzles to complete your mission before your time runs out.

Wait, did you say “trapped?”

Well, not trapped for real… Pretend trapped. Participants can leave the room at any time. But what fun is that? This is a game. You’re in it to win it!

Is it scary?

Scary? No, we are not trying to frighten you. Intense, fun, and exciting, Yes! Some themes may have just a tiny hint of spooky, but no one will be jumping out to scare you… At Escape Room 60, we use lighting, sound, some confined spaces, and the mounting pressure of time running out, to make sure that all participants leave the room with their pulse pounding.

“WILL I NEED PRIOR KNOWLEDGE BEFORE ENTERING THE ROOM? ”

No, all of our clues can be solved from clues found within the room. However, you will have to depend on the help of your teammates and problem solving skills to escape.

Am I smart enough?

We work hard to make sure every team member can play a role in every mission. Escape rooms are a team sport. Good communication and collaboration — not high IQs — are the key to success. And if you do get stuck, our game masters are on call to give you a nudge in the right direction.

How long does it take?

Each mission lasts approximately 60 minutes, plus 15 minutes for the introductory mission briefing and another 15 for post-escape photos and celebration.

Will I get put in a room with … gasp … total strangers?

You might. Our adventures are designed to be completed in the nick of time by teams of 6-8 people. The more players, the better your odds of escape. Of course, you always have the option to book all the open slots in any given mission to “keep it in the family.”

When should I arrive?

Make sure your team arrives 15 minutes before your scheduled mission begins, to allow time for checking in, mission briefing, and filling out waivers (we make you promise not to do anything crazy or break our cool stuff).

What should I bring?

Just bring your friends, your sense of adventure, and your winning spirit. If you need reading glasses you will probably want to bring them too as some rooms feature dim lighting. But please leave your smartphone in your pocket or purse during the course of the game— Google won’t help you!

Bring the kids or hire a sitter?

Escape Room 60 was built with families in mind. Kids have a great spirit of adventure, are great at finding clues, and love to feel like part of the team. Note that all adventurers 14 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children must be six or older to play.

Do I need to book in advance?

Due to the small size of each mission, Escape Room 60 adventures book up quickly. The best way to ensure you and your friends get the mission and appointment time you want is to sign the waiver and book now using our online booking tool.

What if I’m late for my mission?

Unfortunately, adventure waits for no one. Missions must commence at the scheduled time. If you hurry, you might only miss the beginning of the mission briefing. But due to the nature of our scenarios, late entrance into the room itself cannot be permitted.

What if I need to reschedule?

Call us 48 hours in advance and we’ll work with you to reschedule for a new time. Note that because every slot you book is a slot that cannot be booked by someone else, we are unable to issue refunds for last-minute rebooking or no shows.

Can I still participate if I have mobility issues or a disability?

Absolutely. There’s plenty of fun for everyone. Escape Room 60 is ADA compliant. That said, a number of our puzzles are audiovisual in nature so teamwork will be required if participants are vision- or hearing impaired.
